Armadillo Lizard Necklace

This necklace depicts the armadillo girdled lizard, or armadillo lizard. This popular reptile, which inhabits the deserts of southern Africa, is best known for its unusual defensive strategy of curling into a ring by grasping its own tail in its mouth. In this coiled position, the armadillo lizard presents only its spiny, armored back to would be predators... and it also looks so cute that perhaps its predators loose heart!
